See stunning images of The Cure's 'Shows of A Lost World' Tour

Upon announcement earlier this year, the confirmation of The Cure's Shows of A Lost World North American trek instantly became one of the most anticipated live events of the season. The news added to the anticipation of the band's long-awaited studio album release slated for this year. The album is the first since 2008's 4:13 Dream.

The spring trek has seen sold out dates across the country with a trio of dates at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles anchoring the beginning half of the run. The tour is currently en route to New York for a stint at the Madison Square Garden later this month.

Thus far, the career-spanning live set has included previews of the new album with the singles "Another Happy Birthday, “Alone,” “And Nothing Is Forever,” “A Fragile Thing,” and “I Can Never Say Goodbye” all woven into the collection of greatest hits.

Holding court at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA, The Cure delivered an enthralling, three-hour masterclass with the essential songwriting of Robert Smith was on full display. Executing a set that covered nearly 30 songs and two encore performances, The Cure proved ever inimitable with the showcase that resonated with generations of fans, fixed for the commanding three hour set.

From Seventeen Seconds to Songs of A Lost World, The Cure staged a spectacle that spanned more than four decades of transcendence, reiterating why they are regarded as royalty among alternative culture.
